Renewable energy capacity
Adani Green's operational renewable energy capacity reached 20,763 MW, or 20.8 gigawatts (GW), at the end of September 2026, compared with 16,680 MW a year earlier, representing growth of 24%.The company added 4,083 MW of greenfield capacity over the past year, including 2,957 MW of solar, 805 MW of wind and 321 MW of solar-wind hybrid capacity. Of the new solar capacity, 2,568 MW was commissioned at Khavda in Gujarat, while another 389 MW was added in Rajasthan.
Adani Green said its expanding portfolio and higher electricity generation supported the improvement in operating performance.
"As India's largest renewable energy company, we take pride in driving the sector's momentum. This is reflected in our strong execution in H1 FY27, with our operational renewable energy portfolio growing 24% YoY to 20.8 GW and energy sales increasing 32%," said Ashish Khanna, CEO of Adani Green.
The company is targeting 50 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.
Adani Green also announced a major expansion of its battery energy storage business, adding 3.08 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of capacity at Khavda during the September quarter. This took its total installed battery energy storage system (BESS) capacity to 6.63 GWh, which the company said accounts for more than half of India's operational battery storage capacity.
The company said it could surpass its FY27 guidance of 10 GWh in installed battery storage capacity, given the pace of deployment so far. Battery storage is expected to play an important role in improving the reliability of renewable power supply, allowing electricity generated during periods of high solar and wind availability to be stored and supplied later.
It is also developing a 30 GW renewable energy project at Khavda, spread over 538 square kilometres. Operational renewable capacity at the site has reached 10.8 GW, with the company targeting completion of the full 30 GW by 2029.
For the first half of FY27, Adani Green reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 1,730 crore, up 18% from Rs 1,468 crore in the corresponding period last year. Revenue from operations increased 28% to Rs 8,689 crore from Rs 6,800 crore.
