Anand Rathi Share and Stock Brokers Q2 results: Profit jumps 50% YoY to Rs 42 crore, revenue rises 20%<br>Agencies

Revenue from operations rose 20.25% year-on-year to Rs 273.21 crore in Q2FY27 from Rs 227.2 crore in Q2FY26, supported by strong momentum in the margin trading facility (MTF) business, steady contribution from distribution income and continued client acquisition.

Total expenses increased 13.74% to Rs 217.2 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 190.96 crore in the year-ago period, according to the company's exchange filing.

The brokerage reported broad-based growth across business segments during the quarter.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) stood at Rs 99.9 crore in Q2FY27, with an EBITDA margin of 37%.

For the first half of FY27, EBITDA stood at Rs 197.2 crore, with a margin of 38%. Profit after tax (PAT), before an exceptional item, was Rs 81 crore, with a PAT margin of 16%.

Growth was largely driven by non-broking revenues. Interest income from the MTF business rose 36% year-on-year to Rs 49.6 crore, while income from distribution increased to Rs 32.7 crore, the brokerage said, highlighting the growing contribution of diversified revenue streams.

Management commentary

Pradeep Gupta, chairman and managing director of Anand Rathi Share and Stock Brokers, said the quarter was characterised by heightened market volatility arising from geopolitical issues and regulatory changes.

Despite these headwinds, investor participation remained resilient, supported by sustained domestic inflows and continued growth in mutual fund assets, he said.

"The Company continues to invest in technology to improve the customer experience. Our customer-centric approach is further supported by serving clients through our physical network. We remain confident that the Company will continue to progress along its long-term growth path,” Gupta said.

Roop Kishor Bhootra, wholetime director, said the company would remain focused on deepening client relationships, strengthening its technology infrastructure and broadening its product and advisory capabilities.

These efforts are expected to support sustainable growth and create long-term value for all stakeholders, he added.
