Bonus issue, stock split and dividend alert! Last day to buy these 3 stocks before record date. Do you own any?

Around three companies have fixed October 15 as the record date for their respective corporate actions including bonus issue, stock split and dividend, effectively making today the last day for interested investors to buy shares of the company to be eligible for the rewards. As per Sebi's T+1 settlement norm, investors need to buy a company's shares at least one trading day before the record date to ensure the shares are credited to their demat accounts in time and they become eligible for the corporate action. Accordingly, today is the last opportunity for investors to buy these 3 stocks to be eligible.

Anand Rathi Wealth has fixed Thursday as the record date for its interim dividend of Rs 4 per share. The company has declared 11 dividends since January, 2022, and the stock has a dividend yield of 0.62%, according to data on Trendlyne. The company recently reported a 9.5% YoY decline in net profit to Rs 89.95 crore, despite a 15.7% increase in revenue to Rs 344 crore. EBITDA fell 15.1% to Rs 116.8 crore, while the EBITDA margin contracted to 34% from 46.2%.

Oneclick Logistics India | Bonus issue

Oneclick Logistics India has fixed Thursday as the record date for its 1:2 bonus issue. This means that the company will issue one new equity share for every two shares held in the company as on the record date. A bonus issue comprises free shares distributed by a company from its reserves and is often seen as a sign of strong financial health and growth prospects. While the issue of bonus shares increases the total number of outstanding shares, it does not change the company’s market capitalisation. However, it can improve liquidity and affordability, allowing more investors to add shares of the company to their portfolio.

Samor Reality has fixed Thursday as the record date for its 1:5 bonus issue. While the number of outstanding shares increases during a stock split, the company’s overall market capitalisation remains unchanged. A lower share price can make the stock more accessible to retail investors, potentially improving participation and trading volumes. A 1:5 stock split means that every share held on the record date would be split into five shares, while the total value remains the same. This means that every share held in the company as on the record date will be split into five equity shares after the corporate action.
