On October 19, the closing prices of three stocks in the Nifty 500 pack were more than 1% above their respective VWAPs (Volume Weighted Average Price), according to StockEdge’s technical scan data. When the closing price is above the VWAP, it means the stock closed at a price higher than its volume-weighted average traded price during the day. The VWAP gives greater weight to prices at which higher trading volumes occurred.
