Nuvoco Vistas Corp Q2 profit jumps 78% to Rs 65 crore on strong revenue
“Q2 FY27 was a testament to resilient execution in a challenging operating environment,” managing director Jayakumar Krishnaswamy said. “Despite intense and erratic rainfall in our key markets, global and regional logistics & supply chain disruptions, and elevated input costs stemming from ongoing geopolitical uncertainty, the Company delivered strong YoY growth in Revenue, EBITDA, and PAT,” he was quoted in a statement.
The cement producer’s earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization stood at Rs 411 crore, up 11% compared to the previous year.
Nuvoco said that it expects the demand for cement to pick up post monsoon, and that government-led capex, particularly by state governments, has significant headroom for growth in the second half of the year, considering that 77% of planned state outlays are yet to be deployed.
It also said that geopolitical developments could exert upward pressure on costs, especially for fuel and packaging bags.
The company reported its earnings after market hours, and its shares closed at Rs 337.35 on the BSE, up 1.5% from the previous close.
