On October 29, the closing prices of four stocks in the Nifty500 pack were more than 1.5% above their respective VWAPs (Volume Weighted Average Prices), according to StockEdge’s technical scan data.
When a stock closes above VWAP, it means its closing price is higher than its volume-weighted average traded price during the day. VWAP gives greater weight to prices at which higher trading volumes occurred.
