UltraTech Q2 Results

The company’s revenue from operations increased 19% year-on-year to Rs 23,295 crore in Q2 FY27, from Rs 19,607 crore in the year-ago period. The shares of the company were seen trading 2% lower at Rs 10,690 apiece after the release of the results.

Sequentially, the company’s consolidated net profit fell around 43% quarter on quarter from Rs 2,599 crore. Revenue from operations dropped 5.5% QoQ from Rs 23,295 crore reported in the first quarter of the same financial year 2027.

The heavyweight cement-maker’s total consolidated expenses meanwhile increased nearly 18% YoY and marginally sequentially to Rs 21,339 crore during the quarter under review. Its net profit margin stood at 7% in Q2 FY27, as compared to 6% in Q2 FY26 and 11% in Q1 FY27. Operating profit margin meanwhile remained flat at 16% on a YoY basis, but reduced from 21% recorded in the previous quarter.

UltraTech Cement’s net worth increased a little over 2% YoY but fell around 7% QoQ to Rs 77,702 crore during the second quarter of the ongoing financial year 2027. Its net sales increased 19% YoY to Rs 23,024 crore.

UltraTech lists monsoon impact, West Asia crisis as headwinds during Q2

UltraTech performed well despite headwinds on account of a monsoon-affected quarter and the ongoing west Asia crisis, the company said in an exchange filing. It noted that domestic grey cement sales volumes rose nearly 14% to 35.94 million tonnes, from 31.58 million tonnes in Q2 FY26, supported by disciplined execution, a wider market footprint, cost optimisation and a sharper focus on premium products.

Capacity utilisation jumped to 71% from 66% over the same period last year, it further said, adding that higher volumes and improved profitability strengthened UltraTech’s position in the market.

UltraTech on UltraVolt launch

UltraTech launched its wires and cables business Ultravolt during the second quarter. “The business is building a strong distribution network as part of its Pan India strategy. A state-of-the-art manufacturing facility has been commissioned at Jhagadia, Gujarat. The overall planned capacity, entailing the consumption of 78,000 mt of copper and 24,000 mt of Aluminium, already positions the company as the second largest player in terms of capacity in the housing wires segment,” it said.

UltraVolt’s launch has received an overwhelming market response, the cement major said. The brand has garnered strong endorsement from retailers, electricians and industry influencers for its quality, safety and performance-focused product portfolio, it claimed.

UltraTech Cement share price

UltraTech Cement shares have gained over 1% in a week but declined more than 3% over the past month and over 10% so far in 2026. The stock has fallen 14% over the past year.

Over the longer term, however, the shares have delivered positive returns, rising over 25% in three years and nearly 49% in five years.
